                "Basonto Utsab" 

                Oraganised by  cultural Programme 10th March 2020

The program was celebrated as a combination of Holi and Rabindra Nath Tagore’s Basonto Utsab. The aim of the program was to provide this idea to the students. Students, teachers and office staff participated in this great cultural event. For safety reasons from COVID 19 the event was celebrated with flowers instead of colors.

 

 

National Webinar 

   One Day National Webinar - Lecture series

                  “Dissecting English : Language and Literature”  21st June 2020 at 2pm via Google Meet

Netaji Subhas Mahavidyalaya, Udaipur witnessed its first transition from real to the virtual world through its first ever One Day National Webinar – Lecture Series “Dissecting English : Language and Literature” organised by the Department Of English, Netaji Subhas Mahavidyalaya, Udaipur on 21st June 2020 at 2pm via Google Meet. This initiative garnered huge response and participation from hundred participants coming from various parts of the country. Dr. G A Ghanshyam, Professor of English cum Officer on Special Duty at Directorate of Higher Education, Nawa Raipur, Chhattisgarh graced the Webinar as the invited speaker and deliberated on “Amenities to Humanities: A journey from Pandemic to Pan-Academic”. The other speaker was Sri Abhijit Bhattacharjee, Language Instructor at College of Fisheries (CoF), a constituent college under the Central Agricultural University Imphal who deliberated on “Who’s Scared of the Microphone?: An Introductory Discussion on The Art of Public Presentation”. The Webinar was successfully organised by the Organising Committee of the College consisting of Dr. Rita Das Nayak, Principal in charge, Mrs Patriot Debbarma, Organising Secretary, Dr. Surajit Sen, Jt Organising Secretary and Dr Samir Kr Diabag, Secretary, Teachers’ Council.

Covid-19 Pandemic : Challenges of Politics and Administration in India 30th June 2020

On 30th June 2020, the department of Political Science organised its first National Webinar on the theme " Covid-19 Pandemic : Challenges of Politics and Administration in India" through Google Meet and recorded the registration of 306 participants. The chief Patron for this Webinar was Sri Saju Vaheed A, Director of Higher Education, Government of Tripura and the Patroness was Dr Rita Das Nayak, Principal in charge, Netaji Subhas Mahavidyalaya, Udaipur. The resource persons for the webinar were Dr Kashi Nath Jena, Professor in the Department of Political Science, & Controller of Examinations, Tripura University, Suryamaninagar, Dr J. Doungel, Professor in the Department of Political Science & Director, IQAC, Mizoram University, Mizoram  and Dr. Bir Pal Singh, Faculty, Panchayat Admin.& Nyaya Panchayat, National Law Institute University, Bhopal (M.P.). Dr Babudhan Tripura, Assistant Professor & HoD in charge of Political Science was the Organising Secretary for the Webinar and the other members of the Organising Committee were Mrs Patriot Debbarma, Assistant Professor & HOD in-Charge, Department of English, Dr Karnika Sinha, Assistant Professor & HOD in-Charge, Department of Education and Dr Samir Kumar Diabagh, Assistant Professor  & HOD in-Charge, Department of Philosophy.

 One Day National Webinar - বর্তমান সময়ে রবীন্দ্রনায়ের শিক্ষাভাবনার প্রাসশিকর্া” ,

20th July, 2020

Department of Bengali, Netaji Subhas Mahavidyalaya, Udaipur, Gomati on 20th July, 2020 conducted one-day long National Webinar on the theme ‘Relevance of Rabindranath Tagore’s thoughts on education today’.

                    The Webinar was presided over by the Principal-in-charge of Netaji Subhas Mahavidyalaya, Dr. Rita Das Nayak. The esteemed speakers Dr. Mostak Ahamed, Assistant Professor, Head of the Department of Bengali, Presidency University, Kolkata, West Bengal and Dr. Sarada Mahato, Assistant Professor, Department of Bengali, Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata, West Bengal put light on the theme of the Webinar and impressed all with their impeccable analysis and arguments.

Organizing Secretary of the Webinar Dr. Archana Dandapath who is Assistant Professor and Head of the department of Bengali, Netaji Subhas Mahavidyalaya thanked the speakers and participants for the successful completion of the webinar which was streamed live in Streamyard and YouTube on 20th July from 6.00p.m to 8.00p.m. Over Five hundred participants took part in this webinar and their active participation made it a huge success.

 

Necessity of State Intervention In    Language Development: A Panel Discussion On Kokborok, Bodo, Garo, Dimasa And Allied    Languages, 31st July, 2020

On 31st July, 2020, The Department of Political Science in collaboration with the Department of Kokborok, Netaji Subhash Mahavidyalaya, Udaipur conducted a One day International Webinar on “Necessity of State Intervention In Language Development: A Panel Discussion On Kokborok, Bodo, Garo, Dimasa And Allied Languages” from 1 PM TO 5 PM IST through StreamYard and YouTube. For this academic congregation, 790 participants from various parts of the world registered as well as took part. The Webinar kick started with the introductory note of the Convenor cum Organizer, Dr Babudhan Tripura, Assistant Professor & Head of the department of Political Science, who delved on the main ideas of the Webinar. Thereafter, Dr Rita Das Nayak, Principal in charge & President of the Webinar delivered the Welcome Address. Prof  Anil Kumar Boro, Professor & Head, Department of Folk Literature, Gauhati University, Assam presented the Keynote address. Mg Borendra Lal Tripura, Assistant Professor, Department of English, American International University, Bangladesh deliberated on “The Challenges and Possibilities of Kokborok and Kokrabai(Kokborok Literature) face in Bangladesh.” Prof Swarna Prabha Chainary, Professor & Head, Deparment of Bodo, Gauhati University, Assam, discussed at length on the topic – “Survival and language revitalization: with special reference to Tibeto-Burman languages of North-East ”. Then, Dr Fameline K Marak, Associate Professor, Head, Department of Garo, North-Eastern Hill University, Tura Campus, Meghalaya,  India elaborated on “The Scope and Challenges in Garo Language”. The young energetic Dr Monali Longmailai, Assistant Professor, Centre for Endangered Languages, Tezpur University, Assam, India also discussed about “Revitalizing Dimasa: An indigenous language of Northeast India”. The last speaker to deliberate was Mg Binoy Debbarma, Senior Linguistic Officer, TTAADC, Khumwlwng, Government of Tripura, who enlightened on the topic “The Kokborok - survived against all obstacles.” The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mrs. Patriot Debbarma, Assistant Professor in English and HOD in charge of department of Kokborok & Organizing Secretary of the Webinar. The webinar garnered huge response from all the participants and ended successfully.

  World Environment Day

 NSM launched an extensive plantation program on 10-06-2020 on the occasion of the World Environment Day in college premises. Student volunteers and teachers selected the empty places to plant saplings in a well organised way. The saplings were supplied by the local forest nursery office. In order to restore the eco balance of the afforestation, drive was taken with all seriousness. Respected principal madam Dr. Rita Das Nayak led the whole program with great enthusiasm. All the participants were also highly enthusiastic to make it a big success
