Department of Economics

Department of Economics is one of the few departments which has its existence since inception of the institution. At the beginning only general courses were offered by the department and major course has been introduced in 2012. The department offers a friendly learning environment with a better student-teacher ratio. Students are accorded personal attention by the teachers and holistic development of the students is kept in priority. Students of the department are disciplined and co-operative. It is a regular practice of the department to conduct a get together, ‘ekotrikaron’ every year, to develop inter-personal relationship amongst its students across the semesters.
